The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts (VisArts) is a unique and diverse visual arts center located in Rockville, Maryland. It is composed of:

• a gallery exhibiting the works of local as well as international artists working in a broad range of media
• many studio artists creating on site
• open Ceramic and Photography Labs
• and an education program with over 100 classes and workshops offered each semester

VisArts makes the visual arts accessible and available to the public, meeting the interest of artists, collectors, students, and the community. From the three year old to senior citizens, from our classes and workshops to our family programming and open houses, from our professional art critiques to community events we are an integral component of the visual arts for the metropolitan area.

VisArts is a nonprofit center for contemporary art supported, in part, by:
